Prepping for Surgery #2

I made it to Bad Belzig, Germany for surgery #2. I flew into Berlin on Tuesday morning and took a cab to the most charming and quaint little town about an hour outside of Berlin. On Wednesday, I checked into the hospital, and the experience has been so wonderful. Everyone I’ve encountered has been remarkably kind and helpful. I had blood work done as well as an ECG. There’s a cooking class led by a nutritionist, and the doctors join at the end of the class. I had my preop appointment and got my legs marked up for surgery. Everything is ready to go for Thursday!

I’m absolutely confident that I made the right choice in coming to a hospital for surgery #2. Having 24/7 monitoring will ease my mind, and I can honestly say I’m calm and at peace the night before surgery. I’m excited and ready to go, but I’m not anxious or nervous per se. Ready to be on the other side of things!

I’ll post an update as soon as I’m able. If you could send some prayers and good thoughts my way at 6 am CST, I would greatly appreciate itπŸ’œ
